For a lot of people the most nerve racking part of the wedding day is when they have to stand up in front of all the guests and give a speech. Doing this will allow your speech to stay on topic and go with the flow of the day. Having a lot of confidence when you produce your speech is very important. If you feel nervous then you will come across as nervous. One angle that a lot of people go for in their wedding speeches is laughter. If you can pull it off your speech will be perfect, if it goes wrong then it will be a disaster. I don’t need to tell you how embarrassed you would feel if you tell a joke in the middle of your speech and instead of fits of laughter everyone looks at you with a blank face. If this happens the speech is ruined and it will be very hard to turn it into a success. For this reason I think it is better to avoid the jokes and humour and keep your speech simple and to the point.
