Google Sniper by George Brown launched October 15 of this year and has been a resounding success. It is a complete system for making money online by building mini-sites. Though this is not a Google Sniper review, I would like to cover a point that the system does not provide its readers with, and explain how you can plug this gap.
With Google Sniper, you pick a keyword without much competition, build content around that keyword, optimize it, and write a review or story to presell your visitors. George provides more than enough info on those areas. However, the system revolves around the assumption that your chosen keyword’s level of competition is low enough that you will rank naturally without engaging in any link building.
Whether you’re new or old to internet marketing, I’m sure you know its not always that easy to find these keyword gems. Without that critical keyword selection, your site is probably not going to land on the first page, and the first page is where the sales are.
What can we do to combat this?
The easiest solution to this issue is to simply build links pointing to your site. Well, you’ve got a problem, because George hates link building, so he doesn’t really talk much about it. Given that issue, I thought I’d give you a quick primer on some basic ways of link building here.
1. Social Bookmarking: George covers this well in Google Sniper. It is worth noting that most bookmarks do not pass page rank due to the no-follow tag.
2. Link Wheels: This involves making a bunch of web 2.0 blogs that link to each other in a circle, and then pointing a link from all of them to your money site. You can find more info by Googling “linkwheel”.
3. Profile Links: Many high page rank sites allow users to create personal profiles on their site, and often include an area where you can place a link. MTV.com and TED.com are good examples of this type of site.
4. Blog Commenting: Find blogs that you can leave smart, relevant comments on, and post using your anchor text as your name and don’t forget to put in your URL!
5. Article Submission: Write good articles and submit them to good article directories. These directories will allow you to include a resource box at the end of the article where you can link back to your site. Since these articles usually rank quite well by themselves, you’ll find that you get a bit of referral traffic in addition to your backlink.
The 5 techniques above will give you the foundation of link building, which you can use to increase your Google rankings no matter how tough your competition is. Now that you’ve got this knowledge, the one hole in the Google Sniper system has been patched and you’re ready to start building your empire. Hurry up and get started building those sniper sites, your internet fortune is waiting!
